1. Introduction

Zeroopay Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 78 688 499 489), trading as Zerootravel ("we", "us", "our"), protects your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains how we handle personal information for bookings made through travel advisors on Zerootravel.

2. What we collect

  • Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
  • Booking details: traveller names, travel dates, delivery details and preferences.
  • Payment information: processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card details.
  • Messages you send us, and technical information such as your browser, device and approximate location from your IP address.
  • Sensitive information only where needed for your booking (for example accessibility or dietary requests), with your consent.

We collect this from you, from your travel advisor when they prepare a quote or booking for you, and from suppliers involved in your booking.

3. How we use it

  • To make, confirm and manage your bookings with suppliers.
  • To send your confirmation, receipt, tickets, vouchers and booking updates, including transactional SMS about your booking. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS.
  • To take payments, give refunds and handle payment disputes.
  • To give support, prevent fraud, keep the platform secure and meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information to send you our own marketing.

4. Who we share it with

  • Your travel advisor, who made the booking for you, so they can look after your trip.
  • Hotels, ticket suppliers and experience operators, to fulfil your booking.
  • Our payment processor, cloud, hosting, email and SMS providers.
  • Regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information. Suppliers and your advisor handle the information they receive under their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies

zerootravel.com uses only the cookies needed to run quotes and checkout, for example to remember which advisor's quote you opened. We do not use advertising cookies on zerootravel.com.

6. Storage, security and retention

Your information is stored in secure systems run by us and trusted providers, in Australia or overseas, with encryption in transit and access controls. We keep booking and financial records for up to 7 years and support records for up to 3 years, and other information only as long as needed.

7. Overseas disclosure

Your information may be disclosed to recipients outside Australia, including the United States and the countries where your travel services are provided. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, by emailing support@zerootravel.com. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object to or restrict processing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
